Craig Cartner
Partner
Craig joined Archer Capital in 2006 from AMP Capital Investors, where he spent 8 years in the Private Equity team. At AMP Capital, Craig was a Director, Private Equity responsible for deal sourcing, deal execution and the management and realisation of investments, with a particular focus on small to mid-sized buyouts. He was a director of a number of companies, including Tasman Building Products, MCK Group, D&B Australasia, Runge, and Kra-mar Pet Supplies. Prior to this, Craig spent six years with Chartered Accountant firms, where he specialised in investigations, restructurings and financial due diligence.
Craig is a Partner of the Archer Capital Growth Fund 1, targeting buyouts and acquisitions of businesses worth between $20 million and $100 million. Craig holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of NSW and is a Chartered Accountant.
Scott Greck
Partner
Scott joined Archer Capital in 2006 from Henderson Global Investors in Singapore where he was a Partner and founding member of Henderson Private Capital's Asian Private Equity Fund. Scott was responsible for sourcing, executing, managing and realising direct investments in Asia. During his six years with Henderson, Scott invested in the media, telecommunications, pharmaceutical, manufacturing and financial services sectors. Prior to this, Scott has held roles with Publishing and Broadcasting Limited, Citibank and TNT Express.
Scott is a Partner of the Archer Capital Growth Fund 1, targeting buyouts and acquisitions of businesses worth between $20 million and $100 million. Scott holds a Masters in Finance from the University of Technology in Sydney and a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Wollongong.
Timothy Spencer
Partner
Tim joined Archer Capital in February 2007, bringing seventeen years of combined experience in private equity, strategic consulting, and operations management. Prior to joining Archer Capital, Tim held executive roles with Thompson Street Capital, a US based middle-market private equity firm. Tim has been a Non-Executive Director on Boards of eight companies. Tim was a management consultant with McKinsey & Company and held Executive positions with General Electric Company and Emerson Electric Company.
Tim is a Partner of the Archer Capital Growth Fund 1, targeting buyouts and acquisitions of businesses worth between $20 million and $100 million. Tim holds on scholarship a Masters of Business Administration from Case Western University and a Bachelor of Science in Finance with National Honours from Kent University. Tim is a graduate of General Electric Management Program.
Jose Matosantos
Investment Director
Jose Matosantos joined Archer Capital in 2006. Prior to joining Archer, Jose worked for six years with Monitor Group, a global management consultancy. There he worked in the US and UK on a variety of operational and corporate finance assignments for major companies in the health care, manufacturing, and private equity industries.
Jose holds a Masters of Business Administration from the Kellogg School of Management, where he was an Austin Scholar, and a Bachelor of Arts from Amherst College, where he was a Copeland Fellow. During his time at Kellogg, Jose worked for Allen & Company, a New York based investment bank.
Alistair Newmarch
Investment Manager
Alistair Newmarch joined Archer Capital in 2006, having previously worked for Ernst & Young Transaction Advisory Services. During this time Alistair worked in the Financial Modelling Group and Transaction Support teams, specialising in the development and review of financial models and acquisition due diligence. Prior to this, he worked for KPMG Corporate Finance in Singapore as an analyst and for Barclays Bank in the UK.
Alistair holds a Masters from Cambridge University, majoring in Economic Geography where he was awarded the David Richard’s scholarship. He also represented the University in Rugby and Boxing.
Adam Foster
Associate
Adam Foster joined Archer capital in 2008. Previously, Adam spent five years at KPMG Transaction Services in Sydney and Ernst & Young Corporate Finance in London. During this time, Adam provided strategic and operational advice to Private Equity houses and major corporates covering a variety of transaction issues including Commercial Due Diligence, Synergy Due Diligence, Carve-outs, Post deal restructuring and Channel Strategy projects.
Adam holds a Bachelor of Science degree (Hons) from the University of Nottingham and is a UK-Qualified Chartered Accountant.
Denis Heizmann
Associate
Denis Heizmann joined Archer Capital in 2008. Prior to this, Denis was an analyst with National Australia Bank’s corporate finance division, where he was involved in the origination of leveraged and acquisition transactions in the health care, retail, industrial and mining services sectors. He has also held positions in debt product syndication and distribution, and in institutional relationship management across the consumer and health care industries.
Denis holds a Bachelor of Business from Queensland University of Technology, majoring in Banking & Finance and International Business.
